Preggers ladies should not have more than 200mg of caffeine daily, which is about a 12 oz. cup of coffee (American Pregnancy Association). Today, the menu was a homemade rooibos tea (I’ll have to do another post on that) lemonade. A new glass pitcher from Target made this a special event. You have to add some fun to the process, right? Here’s an idea: Hot boiling water, five rooibos tea bags, three personally rolled, softened, and squeezed lemons, plus ginger. Scrape the ginger peel off with a spoon and dropped it right in for additional health benefits. Top off the beautiful drink in a new pitcher with some agave and you’re ready to go.
All you need is a cup filled with ice that you can shake up and down like the baristas do. If you’re an SBUX regular, just like that, you can add about $10 back to your bank account for the week. That’s $520 for the year. Put a little in savings, a little in the kiddos college fund, and get some new paraben-free makeup with the rest. God reminds us to be good stewards of our finances and our body. Your turn. What can you change to be healthier and save a little money?
